Moonling AI Privacy Policy

Updated and effective: August 10, 2026

This policy applies to Moonling AI distributed through both Apple App Store and Google Play. Platform-specific sign-in and billing differ, while the same data-minimization, security, and deletion principles apply.

1. Data we process

• Account and identity data: iOS and historical versions may use an in-app device identifier to maintain works and entitlements. The Google Play Android version creates an account only after you choose Google sign-in and then processes the Google account subject ID, email, display name, and avatar. We do not receive your Google password.
• Creation content: themes, scripts, prompts, character and scene descriptions, files you choose to upload, and generated text, images, audio, or video.
• Purchases and entitlements: App Store or Google Play product IDs, transaction/order identifiers, purchase tokens or receipts, subscription state, expiry, refund, and revocation state. Payment-card details are processed by the store and are not provided to us.
• Device, use, and diagnostics: operating system, App version, language, network state, feature activity, errors, and information needed for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
• AI-safety reports: report reason, optional details, related-content identifier, App version, and review status when you report offensive or harmful AI-generated content inside the App.
• Support information: text, images, voice messages, and issue details only when you voluntarily use in-App support.

2. Why we use data

We process necessary data to create and manage accounts, provide AI creation and cloud works, process memberships and credits, restore purchases, protect content safety, prevent fraud, troubleshoot, comply with law, and improve services where you consent. You may decline non-essential permissions or withdraw revocable consent, although the related feature may then be unavailable.

3. Service providers and international processing

Necessary data may be processed by cloud storage, content delivery, AI text/image/video generation, content-safety, App Store, Google Play Billing, Google sign-in, and in-App support providers, including in other countries. We limit transfers to what the selected feature requires, use encrypted transport and access controls, do not sell personal data, and do not use creative content for unrelated targeted advertising.

4. Permissions

• Camera and photos/media are used only when you capture or choose reference material or save a generated result.
• Microphone access is used only when you initiate a support voice message or another recording feature.
• Network state supports cloud creation, sign-in, and store billing.

You can manage permissions in system settings. Denying a permission does not affect unrelated features.

5. Retention and deletion

Account and work data are retained while needed to provide the service. Google Play users can delete their account and associated data in Settings → Delete Account & Data or through the web deletion page. Account and work database records are removed immediately. Associated files in our own cloud storage are deleted immediately or placed in an automatic retry queue and removed within 30 days if storage is temporarily unavailable. Minimal transaction records may be retained and de-linked for legal, tax, refund, security, anti-fraud, and dispute obligations. Backups are removed or anonymized through normal rotation. Deleting an account does not cancel a store subscription.

6. Your choices and rights

You may access, correct, or delete account data and manage permissions, AI-data consent, and store subscriptions. For other applicable requests, use Settings → Contact Support inside the App; no personal contact details are published on this page.

7. Children

Moonling AI is a general creative tool and is not directed to children. Users below the local age of independent consent should use it only with guardian permission and guidance. A guardian may request deletion through the in-App process.

8. Policy changes

Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page and, where required, renewed consent will be requested. The date above identifies the current version.
